It’s been 5 years. How have you been?

Imagine making a debut 5 years later. Imagine what 5 years later look like.  That is how long I have been inactive for. Life happens, and it has happened very rapidly for me and you I assume. Covid was like a catalyst for many, I included.  (I am simply highlighting what the last post was here, FYI)

Let’s just say, like what Nigerian movies promise ….5 years has brought transformation. Wifehood motherhood, life-hood and all the hood that is in adulthood.  Let me just pause for a moment and say that God has been faithful. One of my all time verses is

Psalm 37: 3
Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the Lord;
and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the Lord;
trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light,
and thy judgment as the noonday.
Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him:

So, I am just making a tiny comeback, with lots of changes but greatly understanding that God is, has and will BE, Constant.  Many things that passed, things good, others bad, some tolerable… But God is truly a constant and consistent in Himself. Nothing highlights that more than TIME.

So, What are we doing here, you may ask ? We are just going with the flow. Just as we left off, Just being fluid and patient with it.

I have a question for you, what can you say about your last five years ? What has God been to you ? ( whatever it is, I pray we feed on his faithfulness)

XO, Bellz.

Why the Devil wants You for Dessert ! - On the Menu

Let’s agree to disagree, this year has a point to prove, it’s in a rush. It’s on the run to somewhere; it has to be there by December.     I am not sure whether I am the one experiencing this, but Sunday is such a throw stone away from Monday nowadays. It feels like yesterday I was huffing and puffing trying to get my resolutions together, it’s now July . Anyway I am buckling up and keeping up with the speed levels of 2018.   2018, if you can hear me, I am breaking sweat as well, we shall revisit and settle in December. .................... I love Nigerians, it’s not their Jollof rice or their incredible sense of art, and it’s their oomph! ,   I have a thing for their vigour. I find them so boisterous in their confession especially. You can tell when Jesus said, the kingdom suffers violence and the violent shall take it by force, that was for them.   I have limited knowledge about them but I have managed to gather a few traits here and...

This Year is different , Make it Count

Happy 2017 !!! Aren't we all excited that it's a new year?   There is always a fresh aroma in the air every new year and I know that's God's way of saying " Here is a fresh Start!". This year must be different!  So I told myself but let's get into that dialogue of why  I think so.  Only a fool does the same thing over and over and expects the same results...  a wise man's quote.  I agree,  I am victim of expecting the same results while I have been doing nothing different.   4 things I have been learning that I want to share with you.   1.Everything is a heart Issue  Proverbs 4:23 " Keep your heart with all diligence for out of it are the issues of Life "  that word keep is also Guard on some translations .  Your heart is not a joke.... Show me your heart and I will show you your issues.  I bumped on some Instagram quote that read " Discern your Judas from your Peter... Judas had a bad heart....

God Does not Work For Me -A conversation.

This is not the usual post, in fact, if you are religious, shuuuu! this one is not for you🙋. Disclaimer! This is not the kind of post for self-proclaimed judges! We are keeping it real!  The last couple of months have been interesting. I have interacted with a couple of people that have voiced out this kind of a thing- God does not work for me anymore. From their expressions, I could tell they were coming from a sincere place. The patent reaction I would have opted for was the need to shove down that religious vibe of "Imagine God is real and he has good plans for you, and quote some scriptures". But this time, I decided to just listen in and understand. The truth is, I cannot purport to understand why that is their conclusion but sadly, they live under such a reality. The way we Christians are set up, we have clever ways of dodging issues and saying " Imagine it is well, cast all your anxiety to Jesus'', Yet we cannot produce solutions to cure these h...
