Bad Babes of the Bible - Lessons

Imagine with me for a moment that in the bible there were women with gangsta points.  I know we are used to the proverbs 31 woman and that's fine, but I am here to profile the bad babes of the bible. I have huge admiration for such women, we can draw a leaf from their lives. Shall we?
Mary Magdalene, she was known as Harlot. A woman who was intentional about getting the attention of Jesus. Letś set the stage, Jesus is invited for dinner by some Pharisees, "Chief, We would like to invite you to our round table dinner, we love your wisdom and your presence is heaven to us", they must have exaggerated. Jesus obviously knew that this dinner would have an interruption by Mary Magdalene and He still went.

He is seated at the table with his disciples, the Pharisees are feeling important to host the miracle worker in town. Sipping wine, dripping grapes, some whole grain bread as they exchange banter about the Roman empire and the latest in Israel.
Laughter echoes the room, everyone is in high spirits, especially Judas, He looked like the guy who enjoyed parte after parte (Iḿ sorry I had to pick on him)
Then guess who walks in, the plezdent herself, Mary Magdalene.  Silence is loud you could cut it with a knife. It had to take Jesus to break the silence by interpreting their thought process.
First of all, Mary, this is not the place and the time,  our holiness is in the room, Someone thoughts were running through.
With her head high, she goes straight to Jesus, shocked they were.  Kwani, What business do they have? ( Kwani is not a Hebrew word, please do not bother looking for translations, I decided to come down to your level :) )

Mary does the unthinkable, washes his feet, dries him with her hair and anoints him with perfume. This is what happens when you have a Masters in IDK, ( I don't care ) Liwe Liwalo, I have decided, I have to do this.
She would have hesitated because I am sure she had ex-clients in that room, people who had every right to judge her, but she was here to secure something that transcended her own life leave alone reputation.
Can you imagine, If Jesus said "Aiyayaya Mary, You cannot touch me like this, you have been naughty" But he did the contrary.   He embraced her, defended and forgave her!
In fact, Mary did not have what we have now: The blood of Jesus. She was not going there saying his blood has cleansed me so I am here with the audacity of Christ, It was purely a Bold move.
Grace is scandalous, That is why most people cannot handle the conversation of Kanye West and the revival that is happening in Hollywood.
Most people think God is impressed by someone who sits cleans, uses a napkin to remove the breadcrumbs of sin from their mouth, but not so. He is looking for those who have a deep desire to be satisfied differently, those that have been through mud or even better shit because he wants to cleanse them.

It is funny how we are the ones who remind others of the lengths and depths of their sins. Jesus is about that Bold type. "He that is sinless, be the first to cast stone.
The other Bold woman was the woman at the well. This one had a history with men, in fact when Jesus approached her, she currently in transaction with someone elseś husband.

Kwanza, the fact that she went to tell her villagers that " come and see a man ", how convenient! I am sure some were compelled to go on the account of " Letś go and see her latest catch, this one that she comes all the way to announce to us "
She was known for that, yet that did not stop Jesus from using her to reach out to the masses.

Here is the thing, If you encounter the true nature of Jesus, the old self has no hold on you. For both of these women, they were given the power to speak, to announce and be messengers. Mary was the one Jesus appeared to first to let the disciples know that He has risen. The Samaritan woman was a doorway to the salvation of her community.

Your past, your mistakes, are the right demeanor of what Jesus is looking to use you. It will take an iota of time and energy to fix yourself if you do not understand that grace has been availed.

It does not matter what you are struggling with, this former bad girls got a seat at the table. They had an audience with the King of Kings that changed the trajectory of their lives. They were empowered for the better, they became women that carried the information of God.
It is interesting to note that both women had a worship issue. For the Samaritan woman, Jesus revealed very exclusive and divine details that he had never said before. We must worship in spirit and in truth.  John 4 ( Read the whole thing btw)
For Mary, the very act of anointing His feet is dimmed as worship. Yet both women had sexual issues, their lifestyle tell on them. This was powerful to me because I got a revelation about this void many people want to be filled by some sort of sexual encounter. The longing satisfaction to be quenched by a source that can only be satisfied by the weight of worship, or rather the ease of worship.
You are not suffering from sexual dysfunction, maybe worship that will fix that. That high and elevation can be found in intimacy with God. When it comes to lovemaking and all, the songs that create the ambiance and set the mood are the ones that have this deep-set emotion connection.
I am not saying that you should not listen to John Legend and boys II men,  but whatever that songs arouses, worship can quench you better. I do not mean to meddle in your bedroom affairs but I am just trying to foster a conversation that has dawned on me.
A Pill that I too have to administer to myself as I don't purport to dispense something that I am not taking as well.

Worship reveals how enough Jesus is. It redirects us to Him: the author and finisher of our emotions.
someone once said, I can take you to church, You can send me your offering and I can offer it on your behalf, but I cannot worship for you.
It is not just lip service kind of worship, it is them that worship in truth and in spirit, that is what the Father seeks. And just like any father, He affirms and has got us differently.

Allow me to just share this light bulb moment, Worship with set a different type of contentment for you.
You will want differently.

Thank you for stopping by, and reading. Share your thoughts, Subscribe!

You Talk Too Much , Learn How to Walk !

Hey friends,  hope you are well.  It's been a while since I posted. Don't fret, the title is more of a rebuke to myself , but if the shoe fits , let's be corrected together!  I wanted to be ready enough to share from my heart . Recently , I was challenged by someone who posed this question " Are you talking a lot about Jesus more than you are actually spending time with Him "  That question has not only lingered,  but has made me question my depth as a child of God.  My silence has been intentional yet I somewhat struggled in bid to spend time with God.  Spending time with God can be uncomfortable  ,  uncomfortable not just for you but for others.  In God's presence, the truth about you is laid bare and he aligns you to himself.  Alignment in God's presence shakes off the unwanted baggage that we so like to wear around .  Luke 10:42 Jesus tells Martha,   42  but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Why the Devil wants You for Dessert ! - On the Menu

Let’s agree to disagree, this year has a point to prove, it’s in a rush. It’s on the run to somewhere; it has to be there by December.     I am not sure whether I am the one experiencing this, but Sunday is such a throw stone away from Monday nowadays. It feels like yesterday I was huffing and puffing trying to get my resolutions together, it’s now July . Anyway I am buckling up and keeping up with the speed levels of 2018.   2018, if you can hear me, I am breaking sweat as well, we shall revisit and settle in December. .................... I love Nigerians, it’s not their Jollof rice or their incredible sense of art, and it’s their oomph! ,   I have a thing for their vigour. I find them so boisterous in their confession especially. You can tell when Jesus said, the kingdom suffers violence and the violent shall take it by force, that was for them.   I have limited knowledge about them but I have managed to gather a few traits here and there from their Afro-c
