THE OTHER WOMAN - The Leveled-Up Woman.

Ever heard of this saying? “Women are their own worst enemies?  The tales about how women do not support each other and other lies?

Here to demystify.

Well, lately I have been thinking about women and the power we have to influence each other. I am sure you are thinking ‘here she goes again with the feminism talk ’, 😂be kind, I promise to take you on a different tangent.

The thing I have learnt about life is that if you do not like what you see ,then be the change.

I do not want to be benighted to the fact that there are times when we might have witnessed women being used in  impious rivalry, malice and guile.

There is that but , there is also another narrative of women who built each other, championed each other for God’s glory.

Let’s get straight up into the word. Hannah and Peninnah .  These were Co-wives to one man. Hannah was on the other side of have not. She was childless; she was unfulfilled and empty, as if it was not enough , Penninah was always reminding her of her plight.  She mocked Hannah; she made it obvious that she had something that Hannah did not have.
Peninnah was toxic , Period .

Have you ever meet a toxic person?  They will always be-little you , remind you of how inadequate you are , it is always a comparison.

They know that life has offered you lemons and instead of giving you a hand with the lemonade, they spatter the lemons on your eyes, basically your eyes are always wet when you encounter them.
We can also find them in 1st Kings 3:19.

There was a woman who slept on her baby and stole the other woman's baby.   You may think this is  a virulent example but here is a modern scenario.
.... think of the person that would trade in your idea for a pitch while it is you that has been tireless and mercilessly working your midnight oil to the brink.

These are but few of the toxic examples.

There is however a new breed of women that happens to be my favourite.

The OTHER WOMAN.

This is the woman that will lay her wisdom down just to see you lifted. She is the one that has no problem with the way your start glowing up. She loves it, she champions it.

We find this woman in Naomi. Naomi is Ruth’s Mother in Law.  When her child died who was Ruth’s husband, Naomi Leveled UP. It was her desire that Ruth will be happy and her life would flourish.
I have a background in being a professional afro cinema lover. I have watched many Mother in Law’s scene reactions to conclude that Naomi was divine for Ruth.

Naomi selflessly gave Ruth an opportunity via her connections, Naomi allowed the love transaction with Boaz to brew and thrive in her very eyes .

If she was a wicked mother in law , Ruth would have it , she would be accused of being a harlot , gold digger and Naomi would have uttered words like “ Over my dead body  , My son has not even rested peacefully in His grave and you are here running around in wheat fields looking  to settle abi ? You are a wicked woman Ruth, my God will strike you” (read that in a Nigerian accent, it is part of the illustration)

But oh no! Naomi prepared her, she advised her, quickened her, and was happy for her new phase. She knew that the success Ruth was also her triumph.

Elizabeth was another woman. She was the kind of atmosphere that Mary needed. She was so happy for Mary that when they hugged each other, their babies leaped inside with joy. Elizabeth praised Mary , she celebrated her .

Imagine having such amazing women around you that when you have something on the inside of you, your spirits cannot help but hi-five.

This was so profound for me when I read it because it allowed me to see what true empowerment genuinely felt like. Mary stayed with Elizabeth for 3 months.  She could only be around Elizabeth for such a long period if she was being edified, nourished and feeling uplifted.

There is something beautiful that is born when women begin to appreciate each other. When the conversation goes beyond what is cooking in the pot.

Women that changed the narrative in the bible are the ones who had a generation foresight.

Like Mary Magdalene, they were bold, unswerving in their actions and expressing who they really are. Like the woman with the issue of blood,  pressing into the crowd with a revelation to SECURE something.

They were like the Hebrew Midwives who knew purpose too well to kill it.  Exodus 1:15.

The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live.

They preserved lives , hence generations , they moved with wisdom and God helped them and they prospered .

We can learn something from these women, Like Deborah leading troupes and conquering in battle.  There is little background about them, who they were married to, their family background , age  and even how many children they had.

The highlight is always in their PURPOSE moves!

It is PURPOSE that  distinguished Hannah from Penninah . It was never about numbers, if you doubt me.

 Q1. Name two of Penninah’s children__________(20 marks)😎

Both Ruth and Orpah were widowed but one pressed in for purpose, we always talk and incline to the one that was purpose bound - Ruth.

There were many virgins during Esther’s time, some even fairer than she was but Purpose unified her.

Allow me to submit this to your consideration , it has nothing to do with which one is doing better , who gets married last, who gets the triplets , the promotion first , Purpose always Prevails .

The heart of this conversation is; do not let man level you down with what you have and do not have. LEVEL UP !
The society is always using the haves and have not strategy to divide people in lines especially women, whether it is marriage, children, career advancement, or even beauty and shapes.... Purpose is the new norm.

.......just make purpose moves that’s all.
Nothing aligns people together more than Purpose does.

Jesus bypassed everyone in Samaria to use a woman who had hidden some else’s husband in her house😅 …. PURPOSE. There was something in her that even disqualified who she was at the moment and paved way for PURPOSE.

To my tribe of women , I will endeavor to make you shine , open my Witt , connections , and even my prayer closet   . To support , nature and encourage.

Shall we grow,  glow and go up together ? LEVEL UP

Powered by purpose 🙌

xoxo Bellz 💕

You Talk Too Much , Learn How to Walk !

Hey friends,  hope you are well.  It's been a while since I posted. Don't fret, the title is more of a rebuke to myself , but if the shoe fits , let's be corrected together!  I wanted to be ready enough to share from my heart . Recently , I was challenged by someone who posed this question " Are you talking a lot about Jesus more than you are actually spending time with Him "  That question has not only lingered,  but has made me question my depth as a child of God.  My silence has been intentional yet I somewhat struggled in bid to spend time with God.  Spending time with God can be uncomfortable  ,  uncomfortable not just for you but for others.  In God's presence, the truth about you is laid bare and he aligns you to himself.  Alignment in God's presence shakes off the unwanted baggage that we so like to wear around .  Luke 10:42 Jesus tells Martha,   42  but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Why the Devil wants You for Dessert ! - On the Menu

Let’s agree to disagree, this year has a point to prove, it’s in a rush. It’s on the run to somewhere; it has to be there by December.     I am not sure whether I am the one experiencing this, but Sunday is such a throw stone away from Monday nowadays. It feels like yesterday I was huffing and puffing trying to get my resolutions together, it’s now July . Anyway I am buckling up and keeping up with the speed levels of 2018.   2018, if you can hear me, I am breaking sweat as well, we shall revisit and settle in December. .................... I love Nigerians, it’s not their Jollof rice or their incredible sense of art, and it’s their oomph! ,   I have a thing for their vigour. I find them so boisterous in their confession especially. You can tell when Jesus said, the kingdom suffers violence and the violent shall take it by force, that was for them.   I have limited knowledge about them but I have managed to gather a few traits here and...

Bad Babes of the Bible - Lessons

Imagine with me for a moment that in the bible there were women with gangsta points.  I know we are used to the proverbs 31 woman and that's fine, but I am here to profile the bad babes of the bible. I have huge admiration for such women, we can draw a leaf from their lives. Shall we?  Mary Magdalene, she was known as Harlot. A woman who was intentional about getting the attention of Jesus. Letś set the stage, Jesus is invited for dinner by some Pharisees, "Chief, We would like to invite you to our round table dinner, we love your wisdom and your presence is heaven to us", they must have exaggerated. Jesus obviously knew that this dinner would have an interruption by Mary Magdalene and He still went. He is seated at the table with his disciples, the Pharisees are feeling important to host the miracle worker in town. Sipping wine, dripping grapes, some whole grain bread as they exchange banter about the Roman empire and the latest in Israel. Laughter echo...
