This Too Shall Pass, Be Still

Happy June! ... it's the years half time and I am pretty excited about the latter days.  However you may want to look at it,  the best days are yet to come.
There is a person of interest in the book of Genesis that stirs me up all the time , Joseph .
His life reminds me of Romans 8:28 "All things work together for good for those who love the Lord and called to his purpose ."

Everything in Joseph's life was  intentional. God set it up for his glory . After everything that happens to Joseph he tells his brothers Gen 45:5 ..God Sent him ahead to preserve life .
It is by faith that our very existence is purposeful.  Nobody knows the true measure of their purpose unless God himself reveals it.
In my head I have been battling with the fact that I am where God intends me to be and until he moves me I will be Still. God has plans for good and not for evil .

You see , God is good all the time.  Whether you are good or not ..whether there is evil around the world or not.  He is good **The world has painted the fact that good is an equal reciprocation agenda  . If you are good .. then I am good . If you are not good I have to see about it .we walk around trying measure the goodness and see who deserves it or not . God is so good we cannot fathom all that he has in store for us.
Back to Joseph,  3 things I admire about Joseph that  I am willing to remind and re-learn all times.

1. Joseph was anti - feelings

This week I had a talk with someone and they told me this "  People are not going to hell because of huge corruption  scandals and what not ,it is because of catching feelings.
"Explain further", I attempted to grasp the statement. .. " You see feelings defy faith , the fact that you are not walking in fear doesn't mean you cannot be influenced by feelings.
A lot had happened to Joseph's life that was very unfair. He had the ability to pout and  bile his entire life but he didn't.  He knew that somethings were beyond him and He was set apart to be a preservation for his generation  . He lifted his faith to a place where his feelings lacked the audacity to contribute to his well-being.

2 . He Trusted in God

It's one thing to know who God is but to have trust in God is another thing  . God tested Joseph and he was faithful to the task . It's hard to trust God when life is chaotic but knowing that the one who spoke existence to the world is your father is comforting  .  God is strategic and orderly He knows exactly what he has in store for his children . The fact that Joseph was in a foreign land and remembered His God and lived a life worthy proving he walked with God ,is simply inspiring.

3.He was patient

Patience and trying to baptize a cat in my generation is like a synonymous action.  People can't seem to wait. ..shortcuts are better yet the results are short-lived . The fact that Joseph waited to see what God had in store and he lived knowing that is only temporary was his anchor. The results of his life tell it all ...It was only delayed but not denied . His dreams were valid . 
Dear person who cannot understand what is happening, Be Still and know that He is God.  It's only for a moment that you are where you are , God's plan is beyond us and that why some pains and trials are above us because they are not for us but designed for people to see who God is . (Why would God use 10 plagues to deliver the Israelites if it only took one plague for them to be set free ? )
Dear Someone, it is a Set Up ...but the come back is worth every wait and weight .

Why the Devil wants You for Dessert ! - On the Menu

Let’s agree to disagree, this year has a point to prove, it’s in a rush. It’s on the run to somewhere; it has to be there by December.     I am not sure whether I am the one experiencing this, but Sunday is such a throw stone away from Monday nowadays. It feels like yesterday I was huffing and puffing trying to get my resolutions together, it’s now July . Anyway I am buckling up and keeping up with the speed levels of 2018.   2018, if you can hear me, I am breaking sweat as well, we shall revisit and settle in December. .................... I love Nigerians, it’s not their Jollof rice or their incredible sense of art, and it’s their oomph! ,   I have a thing for their vigour. I find them so boisterous in their confession especially. You can tell when Jesus said, the kingdom suffers violence and the violent shall take it by force, that was for them.   I have limited knowledge about them but I have managed to gather a few traits here and...

How I Knew The One !

I giggle whilst my face takes the form of   this constant blush every time I hear someone describe how they knew THE ONE. I am in the hospitality department in my church and I am privileged to work around amazing women. We have random conversations from fashion to food, to what stood out for us in church and basically any feel good vibe.   In our endeavor to create conversations that continually edify us, there was this recent query! How did you know he was the one?   This is a question that is relentlessly asked to those who have gone ahead into the Canaan of relationships .   Whether married, engaged, single &satisfied, single and on your knees, we can all agree that there is something astounding about knowing that God has set apart someone that you will do life with.   Anyways, I want this to be a dialogue, how did you know he /she was the one?   (Feel free to leave a comment below) .  Was it a busy day in traffic?...

Why Christians Ought to Use Fragrance more Often

Happy April …. Hope you had a wonderful Easter.   April is here, the year is unfolding super fast and my prayer has been Psalm 90:12“ Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. ” I really want this year to count. I am in a season where I feel like God is building my muscle and capacity .You know that place where you feel God nudging you to tone up? Lift the weights , take the mile and drink lots of water ? It can be hard but once you see the results , it motivates you to do more and learn more . Paul writes " Work out your Faith with fear and trembling ,    Let’s just say spiritual work-outs are a thing . As it was the Easter season, the Lord laid something in my heart .We had a powerful moment in Church this Easter, the sermons rotated around the message of the Cross, pardon me , The Powerful message of the CROSS 2 Corinthians 2:14-16 King James Version (KJV) 14  Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to tri...
