Your Movie, His Trailer - When God Runs the Screens !

Hey friends, hope you are well.  I feel like its forever that I haven't posted anything but I'm back with a word, yeey Glory to God. I had two messages but I will try and deliver them both.  I feel like they will both speak to someone as they spoke to me.

I love to watch movies, but before I do, I like to watch the trailer first. The trailer will give me enough hint whether I am about to get a treat or its simply a waste of time. I know many people are wired like me, there is something about coming soon that wets our appetite with anticipation.  That is why most of us fall prey to the Afro cinema continues shortly or the Mexican soap operas escapades.

I have observed with a lot of care that God allows us to have snippets, moments and glimpses of conversations, moments to prepare us for something bigger.  He does it so that our hearts are acclimatized to the greater glory.  Allow me to explain, have you ever been in a space where you didn't know why you were there but there all these huge people and all you did was observe?

Found yourself in the same situation with someone who you knew if you just position yourself right, baaas you will be the next HIT!  I'm talking about a glimpse into something you have always wanted, it’s there but you cannot touch it.

There was a man by the name Mordecai in the book if Esther 2:21 .Mordecai overhead a conversation about two kings officials plotting against the king. He reported for matter which was investigated upon and found to be true.  And it was recorded and nothing major was done at the time. Allow me to clarify, Mordecai was not a spy, he was just a man who was at the right place at the right time when a wrong conversation was going down.

Case study 002: you know Joseph right? I know Mordecai might be a bit tricky but Joseph you can relate.  In Genesis 40 he is in prison and the baker and the buckler look sad and he goes and asks them what troubles them.  They give him a dream which he interprets fairly and asks them please remember him.  Still, nothing got done, at least not yet.

Let's look at the first case, If you read the book of Esther ( kindly do)  you will be amazed.  In chapter 4 : The king did not sleep,  he asked the book of remembrance.  Can I submit to your consideration that it took time, what Mordecai had done he had probably forgotten. But in the fullness of time, the king was too disturbed to sleep.

In Joseph's case, imagine after two years.  (365*2) days of thinking " oh well, I have been forgotten.  The king gets a dream that only Joseph could interpret. See God.  Selah.

Galatians 6:9 "Let us not become weary in doing well, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up ‘’. Let's backtrack where we started, God doesn't open doors so that we can have a momentary exposure.  He intends that we soak in the moment but not get absorbed in the moment.  He can open the door, take you to boot camp still in space of that door so that when you are ready to explore and manifest your potential you revert to his Purpose. Sometimes we are caught up by the door,  we settle at the gate like Mordecai yet God holds so much for us, inside in the palace.

Bonus : Joseph was a slave who was made a master in his Master's home.  Maybe he thought being in Potifar’s house was the coolest blessing but God had to take him to a boot camp to remove his mind from household blessing to National purpose. The household mentality was blocking his national view but prison was a place where he learnt about not just serving in high places but even in the worst places.

When Jesus was resurrecting Lazarus, it was just a glimpse into how the power within him was able to do.  He was preparing the hearts of men to see that the resurrecting Power he had would resurrect him when he died. It wasn't a performance it was a preparation of what was yet to come.

Friends, let’s be encouraged for the lord is in the business of unveiling great things. Don't be shy when you are asked to start low, or called to spectate. No matter how good the trailer is, you cannot be comfortable asking for popcorns in preparation to be thrilled at the trailer level.

Wait, you think you have seen good, wait till God shows you His best. Haggai 2:9 “ The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the LORD Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the LORD Almighty."

  1. oh, glory to God. those trailer moment's are moments of insight but only to the wise. 'Abraham... look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!” Gen 15:5. Abraham believed the lord, and the lord counted him as righteous because of his faith. Identifying a trailer as a trailer enables one to respond accordingly when the moment finally comes. I Thank God for the patience portrayed by Joseph and Mordecai. Those two waited on God!
Oh wow, thank you. You are Blessed beloved.
